A tweet view of World Cup matches

Soccer fans tweet. A lot.

That's no surprise to anybody who's been on Twitter during the World Cup. The chatter is inescapable.

During yesterday's game between the United States and Portugal? Eight million tweets.

And that's not even the most-tweeted game. Brazil's match against Croatia on the opening day of the tournament drew 12.2 million tweets.
