When Sarah Palin's book-signing tour hit Salt Lake City last week, the manager of the Costco store where she appeared took pains that a repeat of her appearance at the Mall of America wouldn't occur.

Recall that when Palin appeared before 1,500 adoring fan in Bloomington on Dec. 7, a homeless guy chucked a pair of tomatoes at her. They fell wide of their target, but he managed to hit two city cops who were onstage, which left him charged with a couple of misdemeanors.
