Twins first baseman Justin Morneau played four innings at first base Tuesday in a B-game vs. Pittsburgh, his first game since he suffered a concussion on July 7 in Toronto.
At the plate: The first baseman went 1-for-2 with a three-run double .
What's next? Morneau plans to work out at the Twins spring training facility on Wednesday, and he has been penciled into Thursday's lineup against the Blue Jays.
Said Morneau: "It's going to take a while to get back into game shape, but as far as the brain goes, we're hopefully past all the symptoms and all the rest of that stuff."
Said Twins GM Bill Smith: "We're going to continue to proceed with caution under the advice we get from doctors."
