We decided to take a look back at the weather this spring across the country,as the doors close on the season Tuesday. Large, violent tornadoes and severestorms rattled the mid and lower Mississippi Valley, making it one of thedeadliest severe weather seasons on record. Warm, dry weather was predominantacross the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida, while extreme drought and heattorched portions of the Southwest.Meanwhile, cool, wet weather covered most of the West; this damp, chillyweather extended into the Great Lakes. Although the Northeast was wet, overalltemperatures this spring were a touch above average.
