A Soggy Northeast

April 20, 2009 at 3:30PM

An area of low pressure will bring a large area of rain to the Great Lakesand Northeast on Monday. Cities from Chicago to Buffalo to Philadelphia arejust some of the many areas which will have a messy morning commute as a resultof the rain. Rain will arrive later in the morning across New York City andsouthern New England, but heavier rain moving in later today could cause moretravel delays there for the afternoon rush hour.Rain will remain in the forecast for much of the Northeast on Tuesday, asthe storm system will be slow to exit the region. The good news is the focus ofthe rain will shift farther north and east. This means that much of the regionwill get just a brief shower or two.
