A serenade for seder

They followed the traditional guide for the night’s meal, the Haggadah, which relates the story of the Israelite exodus from Egypt, interspersed with Passover songs set to Broadway tunes. Seder customs include drinking four cups of wine, eating matza (unleavened bread) and partaking of symbolic foods placed on the Passover seder plate. The words and ritual of the Seder are a primary vehicle for the transmission of the Jewish faith from grandparent to child and from one generation to the next. (The Minnesota Star Tribune)
