Remember Night Ranger's "Sister Christian"? Hear that and their other hit (?) "When You Close Your Eyes" at tonight's free concert as part of the Aquatennial Block Party. The concert starts at 6 p.m. with local opening acts Corey Stevens and Romantica. Night Ranger is expected to take the stage about 8 p.m. There will be happy hour beer specials between 5 and 6 p.m.

All Laura Mercier cosmetics are $14.99 (regularly up to $95) during the sale that started today at MODE (7788 Main St., Maple Grove, 763-391-6102), including serums, scrubs, creams, fragrance and others.

Martin Patrick3, the best, albeit only men's accessories store in the Twin Cities, discounts everything 30 percent through Aug 8. The only exclusions are vintage items, magazines and fall J.W. Hulme. The collection includes brief cases, travel bags, wallets, money clips, valet boxes, key chains, shaving accessories, cigar and smoking accessories, wine and liquor accessories, desk accessories, clocks, hats, watches, scarves, and cufflinks.

MP3 is located at 121 N. 1st St., Mpls., 612-746-5329.
