Authorities are investigating a nonfatal shooting on Saturday night outside a movie theater in Maple Grove.

Two men were shot in the parking lot of the AMC Arbor Lakes 16, according to Sgt. Trent MacDonald of the Maple Grove Police Department. They then found their way together to a nearby Wendy's in Brooklyn Park, where they called 911 around 9:50 p.m. and were transported to North Memorial Medical Center.

No arrests were made as of 2 p.m. on Sunday but police expect more information by Monday morning, MacDonald said. The victims were shot in the shoulder and pelvis, respectively, and one was released from the hospital, he added.

The shooting was an isolated incident, according to a release, and poses no additional threat to the public. Both the Maple Grove police and Hennepin County Sheriff's Office Crime Lab Unit are investigating.
