3:15 a.m. Alarm rings.

3:17 a.m. Downs 5-Hour Energy drink in the bathroom.

3:30 a.m. Drives to work, with a stop at SuperAmerica for newspapers and coffee.

4 a.m. Arrives at KFAN and begins prepping for the "Power Trip" morning show.

5:30-9 a.m. "Power Trip" on the air.

9 a.m. Jokes with Power Trippers and KFAN's program director.

10 a.m. Tapes commercials and other pieces for KFAN.

11:30 a.m. Heads home, with a stop at fast-food restaurant.

1-2:20 p.m. Naps.

2:45 p.m. Helps daughter Abby with her homework (mostly seventh-grade algebra) while also checking his smartphone and the Internet ("life is show prep," he says) and watching TV with Abby.

6:30 p.m. His wife arrives home and he leaves for his music gig.

6:45 p.m. Sets up for acoustic performance at Maple Tavern.

7:30-9:30 p.m. Plays for the crowd at Maple Tavern.

9:30-10:15 p.m. Meets with fans after his show.

11 p.m. Hawkey's head hits the pillow.
