A 56-year-old man from Bigfork, Minn., died Thursday in a single-vehicle crash in Itasca County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Floyd Cole was driving southbound on Hwy. 6 near Bowstring about 6 a.m. when his truck crossed the northbound lane and went onto the grass, the state patrol said. The truck over-corrected and skidded across both lanes, entering the ditch on the west side of the highway and rolling over.

Cole was not wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol.
