Emergency 911 service has been restored Monday across several southeastern Minnesota counties where an outage was reported Sunday night.
Service was restored in Winona County about 3:30 a.m. Monday, said Ben Klinger, the county's Emergency Management director.
Residents of Dodge, Freeborn, Rice, Wabasha, Steele, Olmsted, Mower and Goodhue counties also are able to dial 911 for help, according to updates posted to sheriff's office Facebook pages.
"911 Emergency Lines are back online and operational CenturyLink reports and testing appears to verify," the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook at 4:21 a.m. Monday.
The outage, reported about 10 p.m. Sunday, resulted from a technical problem, a CenturyLink spokeswoman said. The company is investigating, the spokeswoman said in a statement.
