Who says all the great old sales are gone? Not the folks from Grethen House, whose women's clothing/accessories outlet called GH2 ((318 E. Hennepin Av., Mpls., 612-378-0509) is having a 90 percent off everything sale Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25-26.
OK, maybe GH2's high-end fashion deals aren't as cheap as a suit that reeks of smoke from a fire in NYC's clothing district that was sold as insurance salvage at Bank's. GH2's prices after the discount are $5 to $250 on women's all-season styles from Akris, Comme des Garcons, Manolo Blahnik and Prada. Half of the items are from Edina's Grethen House boutique; the rest are consignment. Shoes and handbags are included, with a mix of fancy to casual.
The sale runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and continues from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
