9 a.m. update: Still slow on Crosstown and 494

Both directions of 494 and the Crosstown through Edina and Bloomington continues to struggle, with 20 minutes needed between Hwy. 169 and Cedar Avenue. The good news is the stalls at Gleason Road and Tracy Avenue have been moved out of the way. We still have a crash on westbound 494 at 24th Avenue.

In Brooklyn Center, look for activity on the right shoulder on southbound Hwy. 100 at France Avenue. Medics are on the scene.

Our other spots with heavy traffic include westbound Hwy. 36 from 35E to 35W with 10 minutes needed.

Northbound 35W is about 15 minutes from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis.

On southbound 94, a fender bender at Olson Memorial Hwy. is adding to the line up heading into the Lowry Hill Tunnel. It's 8 minutes over to 35W.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
