Commuters experienced few problems on the roads this morning as accidents were few and far between.

Congestion added to the drive time on northbound Cedar Avenue out of Apple Valley, a route which saw heavier levels of traffic than we've seen in the past couple weeks.

No relief for commuters on northbound Hwy. 52/55 from Hastings up to the 52/55 split. The single lane road work had traffic backed up 2 miles or more at the peak of the rush. That project still has a couple weeks to go.

The usual slow downs formed on southbound 35W from Lexington Avenue to 694 and as the rush rolled on both the Crosstown and 494 in both directions filled in during the heart of the rush. Northbound 35W ran about as usual, with slow downs from Burnsville Pkwy. past 94th Street. At present, the slowest drive is from 46th Street into downtown Minneapolis.

MnDOT is doing road maintenance on the ramp from northbound 35W to County 96 in Arden Hills. That ramp is closed.

That's it for today. I'll be back Wednesday with more live blogging for the morning commute.

As an eviction crisis has seemed increasingly likely this summer, everyone in the housing market has made the same plea to Washington: Send money — lots of it — that would keep renters in their homes and landlords afloat.
