Some early morning rain led to a spinout on eastbound 94 at Cretin Avenue where three vehicle blocked the left lane around 6:30 a.m. That slowed traffic for a few minutes, but no big jam developed.
The worst choke point seemed to be on northbound 35W from County Road 42 up to the Minnesota River. A crash and congestion kept speeds below posted for most of the rush hour, but commuters didn't experience any huge delays.
Drive times were decent today with only a handful of crashes. Southbound 35E did have a stall and that kept speeds below the posted for the middle portion of the rush. At current, things are loosening up and the drive from Little Canada Road to downtown St. Paul is at 10 minutes.
Commuters on westbound 494 will have a minor setback near 12th Avenue. A mishap is on the right shoulder and the gawker slow down is in place. Plan on 10 minutes from 34th Avenue over to Hwy. 100.
Road construction kicks in at 9 a.m. today on the ramp from northbound 694 to eastbound Hwy. 36 closes until May 12.
