9 a.m. update: Rush hour wrap up

The fog and damp roads had little effect on the morning rush today. On Friday, if the forecast holds, we could be dealing with snow, sleet and freezing rain. Be sure to check the weather before you leave, and here for the latest traffic reports.

Today, things moved right along on most routes with a few exceptions, of course. A crash about 7:45 a.m. on westbound 494 at Cedar Avenue created a hassle in Bloomington as traffic jammed back to near Pilot Knob Road. Things cleared out about 20 minutes later.

Northbound Cedar Avenue has its issues around the same time. A wreck at Diffley Road made for 20-minute commutes from County 42 up to the Crosstown during the peak of the rush. Things have returned to normal on both Cedar and 494.

Really no issues for north or west metro drivers today while those in the east also sailed right along.

Northstar trains ran on time and no delays were reported on buses or light-rail trains.
