9 a.m. update: Rush hour wrap up

The Friday morning rush was fairly uneventful for most drivers, but we did have a couple of crashes and stalls that tangled traffic on 35W in the north metro and on 35E in St. Paul.

The Friday morning rush was fairly uneventful for most drivers, but we did have a couple of crashes and stalls that tangled traffic on 35W in the north metro and on 35E in St. Paul. All were shortlived.

But overall travel times were on the low side as lighter than normal levels of traffic were seen on highways and freeways.

Today, look for construction on Hwy. 61 from Lower Afton Road up to I-94. MnDOT will be installing cable barriers in the median.

This weekend, a handful of closures take effect. I'll be posting a complete round up around noon, so check back then.
