Crashes that blocked freeway lanes earlier in the rush hour allowed traffic to stack up on 35W in the north metro and on 94 in the Midway area of St. Paul. And things have been slow to recover.

Add in State Fair traffic and that has kept things busy and congested much longer than usual.

Currently westbound 94 is crawling along from Hwy. 61 past Hwy. 280 where an accident cleared a few minutes ago. Eastbound 94 is thick from Broadway Street to Riverside Avenue. That is 15 minutes.

Southbound 35W continues to struggle from Lake Drive down to 694. That is 15 minutes. Look for a car in the center median at County Road 23. Police are on the scene.

Eastbound 394 locks up from Hwy. 100 to Dunwoody Blvd. That is 8 minutes.

Westbound Hwy. 36 runs well below the posted speeds from Hwy. 61 over to Cleveland Avenue.

Northbound 35W is still 17 minutes from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis.
