9 a.m. update: Rush hour wrap up

MnDOT crews have just cleared objects from northbound Hwy. 280 at Energy Park Drive and southbound 35W at County Road C. They have not been able to pick up the congestion that has plagued the Crosstown for the past hour. It's still tight in both directions between Hwy. 169 and Cedar Avenue.

We end today's rush hour with a couple of incidents that are affecting traffic and lingering congestion on a few major routes.

The crash on eastbound 212 at 494 is finally out of there, but delays still extend back to Eden Prairie Road. Expect 15 minutes or more over to Crosstown.

Drivers on eastbound 94 will encounter a minor delay starting at Broadway. Ahead the crash at 7th Street remains on the left shoulder.

Congestion still remains in the work zones on northbound 169 over the Bloomington Ferry Bridge, on 694 in both directions from University Avenue to Hwy. 100, and on Hwy. 10 between Greenhaven Drive and 7th Avenue in Anoka.

Northbound 35W is sluggish from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis.

Westbound 94 is starting to loosen following an accident that recently cleared at Lexington.

Reminder that the State Fair starts Thursday, so expect extra traffic on Snelling Avenue, Larpenteur Avenue and highways near the fairgrounds.
