Construction work and congestion defined today's rush hour, and a handful of crashes added to delays that commuters experienced. The worst delays were in the south metro with the ramp to northbound 35W from eastbound Hwy. 13 closed for the first half of the drive.

That ramp has reopened. Commuters on 494 heading west were stuck due to two crashes and heavy traffic. That has loosened some in the past 20 minutes leaving drivers with a 15-minute drive from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100.

Hwy. 10 in Anoka continues to struggle through the single lane work zone between Greenhaven Drive and 7th Avenue. That will wrap up on Aug. 30.

Our current incidents include a stall on the left shoulder of southbound Hwy. 169 between Medicine Lake Road and Plymouth Avenue.

Southbound 35W is jammed from Burnsville Pkwy. to County Road 50 due to road work that will wrap up by 1 p.m. Monday.

Look for minor delays on the westbound Crosstown between 35W and Hwy. 100 and through the work zone in both directions of 694 from Hwy. 252 to Central Avenue.
