The rush hour ends with two crashes on the system and congestion on freeways leading into downtown Minneapolis.

In Maplewood, the mishap on westbound 694 at White Bear Avenue brings traffic to a crawl from Century Avenue past the left-lane blocking crash.

In Minneapolis, look for congestion on eastbound 394 from Wirth Pkwy. to 94, and on northbound 35W from Lake Street up to the downtown exits.

In Rogers, it's road work that has westbound 94 at a crawl at Hwy. 101. Plan on an extra 5 minutes there.

A reminder that Penn Avenue north of the Crosstown is closed, and the bridge over the Crosstown is to shut down for three months starting today for a repair project.
