9:30 a.m. update: Still slick out there

Westbound Hwy. 10 at Foley Blvd. remains closed, but it should open shortly a crash has been cleared.

It has been a busy morning for State Patrol and local police dispatchers as well as tow truck drivers who have responded to scores of spinouts and accidents on metro area roads.

A light coating of snow led to icy conditions that made the morning rush hour anything but fast. Even at this hour, roads are still in tough shape, and traffic levels are heavy.

A few trouble spots of note include westbound Hwy. 10 at Foley Blvd. An injury crash involving at least two vehicles has the highway shut down. It looks like a DOT truck is putting extra salt and sand down in the area and the road should open shortly.

We still have one lane blocked on westbound Crosstown at Cedar as emergency crews work to clear a crash. Traffic delays begin at 43rd Avenue.
