Trouble for drivers on 494 in the south metro comes in the form of two accidents. The first is at Hwy. 61 in Newport. That has traffic inching along from Bailey Road over to Concord.

Ahead, things jam at the Minnesota River bridge due to a six-vehicle crash on the right shoulder at Portland Avenue.

Westbound Crosstown is no picnic either. Traffic is sluggish from 28th Avenue all the way over Valley View Road. Things are locked up all the way, so plan on 25 minutes to get through.

Northbound Cedar Avenue has pockets of slow and grow traffic from 35E up to Old Shakopee Road.
