With room to roll due to reduced traffic volumes, it might be tempting to push on the accelerator. But don't, as roads are slick and one bad move could land you in the ditch or in a crash.

A couple drivers found that out on southbound I-35E at County Road 96 in Vadnais Heights. They are now parked on the right shoulder.

Look out for icy conditions on I-94 in the vicinity of Hiawatha Avenue. MnDOT is on the way to put down de-icer. That is too late for the parties involved in a crash on westbound 94 at Hennepin Avenue and eastbound at Huron Blvd.

Be on the lookout for tow truck pulling a vehicle out of the ditch on northbound 35W at Hwy. 36/Hwy. 280. That are also is icy and MnDOT is heading that way to put down some salt.

Eastbound Hwy. 10 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 12 minutes

Westbound 694 from 35E to Hwy. 252: 10 minutes. Eastbound is 10 minutes.

West metro

Eastbound 94 from Hwy. 101 to 494: 9 minutes

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 7 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 169 from I-94 to Crosstown: 13 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 13 minutes

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 9 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 15 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 9 minutes

Northbound 169 from Canterbury Road to 494: 9 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Dell Road to Crosstown: 7 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 6 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 5 minutes
