8 a.m. update: Current drive times

The bad route to take this at this hour is southbound I-35W. A crash and spinout at County Road I starts the problems. Ahead, there's a new crash at the Hwy. 280 interchange. Together, that adds up to a 30 minute trip from Blaine to downtown Minneapolis.

Elsewhere it's tough going on southbound 35E. A stall in the left lane at County Road 96 and mishap aheat at Wheelock Pkwy. has traffic gummed up.

It's not much better on westbound 94 from Hudson to St. Paul. A crash at Lake Elmo Road has traffic crawling along from near Hwy. 95.

Eastbound 394 from 494 to 35W via 94: 11 minutes

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 13 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 27 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 14 minutes

Northbound 35E from County 42 to downtown St. Paul: 23 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Dell Road to Crosstown: 11 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 15 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 13 minutes
