8 a.m. update: Current drive times

The 8 a.m. hour is not being kind to commuters. Heavy traffic on northbound 35W is making for a dashboard pound drive of nearly 20 minutes.

Westbound 94 is not much better as traffic hits the skids on the east side of St. Paul and remains thick over to Hwy. 280.

Motoring is very slow on westbound 494 from Lake Road in Woodbury to 35E. That is at 20 minutes with a crash at Lake Road.

Southbound 35W from 95th Avenue to downtown Minneapolis: 31 minutes

Southbound 35E from County J to I-94: 28 minutes.

Westbound 694 from 35E to Hwy. 252: 13 minutes. Eastbound is 15 minutes.

West metro

Eastbound 94 from Crow River to 494: 20 minutes

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 11 minutes

Eastbound 394 from 494 to 35W via 94: 14 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 21 minutes

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 14 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 35 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 19 minutes

Northbound 35E from County 42 to downtown St. Paul: 26 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Dell Road to Crosstown: 11 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 15 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 11 minutes

Westbound Crosstown from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 169: 22 minutes Eastbound Crosstown from Hwy. 100 to Cedar Avenue: 13 minutes
