8 a.m. update: Current drive times

I-494 in both directions continues to be the toughest drive in the metro with eastbound commuters caught in in bumper to bumper traffic from Flying Cloud Drive over to Hwy. 100. Westbound drivers are hitting the brakes at Hwy. 5 and riding them over to Hwy. 100.

Westbound 94 bogs down through Lake Elmo as police activity has traffic funneling over to the left lane at County Road 17.

In Anoka, look out for a big rig stalled on the ramp from westbound Hwy. 10 to Ferry Street. Eastbound has pockets of congestion from Armstrong Blvd. over to Round Lake Blvd.

Southbound 35W from 95th Avenue to downtown Minneapolis: 28 minutes

Southbound 35E from County 96 to I-94: 12 minutes.

Westbound 694 from 35E to Hwy. 252: 13 minutes. Eastbound is 12 minutes.

West metro

Eastbound 94 from Hwy. 101 to 494: 18 minutes

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 12 minutes

Eastbound 394 from 494 to 35W via 94: 11 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 18 minutes. Northbound from 494 to 394: 13 minutes.

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 14 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 22 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 13 minutes

Northbound 35E from County 42 to downtown St. Paul: 21 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Dell Road to Crosstown: 11 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 16 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 212 to 35W: 12 minutes

Westbound Crosstown from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 169: 14 minutes Eastbound Crosstown from Hwy. 100 to Cedar Avenue: 12 minutes

East metro
