8:45 a.m. update: Recovered on 394 and 35W

A major accident that had blocked two lanes of eastbound 394 cleared about 30 minutes ago and traffic has finally recovered. Things are flowing freely from County Road 101 on Hwy. 12 all the way into downtown Minneapolis. That is a 12 to 15 minutes.

A major accident that had blocked two lanes of eastbound 394 cleared about 30 minutes ago and traffic has finally recovered. Things are flowing freely from County Road 101 on Hwy. 12 all the way into downtown Minneapolis. That is a 12 to 15 minutes.

In Burnsville, the wreck that had shut down two lanes of northbound 35W at County 42 is gone. Look for traffic to bunch up around Burnsville Pkwy. and remain tight up to the river bridge. North of there, things open up nicely and flow well up to 42nd Street. There drivers will encounter lots of company and slower speeds.

In St. Paul, westbound 94 has a pocket of congestion from Hwy. 61 to 35E. That, however, is improving from what it was like earlier.

Our one mishap at this hour is on the left shoulder of westbound 694 at Victoria Street in Shoreview.
