8:45 a.m. update: Loosening up on I-94 in Midway

A new fender bender on westbound 94 at Riverside Avenue is creating a gawker slow down coming into downtown Minneapolis, but the drive in the Midway area has improved. It's now only 25 minutes from downtown St. Paul to the Lowry Hill Tunnel. That's down from over a half hour.

Our other tough spot is on westbound Hwy. 36. Wrecks at Edgerton Street and Fairview Avenue have gone bye bye and traffic is starting to recover.

It's still packed on southbound 35W from County Road C into downtown Minneapolis. That is 15 minutes.

Eastbound 394 is looking much better even though we still have the accident at Wirth Pkwy.
