The lone incident tying up traffic at this hour is a left shoulder mishap on northbound Cedar Avenue approaching the Crosstown. That's not having much of an impact on traffic.

The biggest surprise this morning is that all lanes on eastbound 694 from Hwy. 252 over to I-35W are open. I'm checking with MnDOT to find out if this is permanent or if it's just an anomaly. The work project is not supposed to be complete until November.

This weekend, look for westbound 694 to be closed from 35W to Long Lake Road, so the cones are not going away for good.
