8:40 a.m. update: Congestion confined to southwest metro

Traffic is zipping along in most of the metro, but commuters in the southwest metro are not. The closure of northbound Hwy. 169 at the I-494 interchange has drivers using northbound 494 to get to 394. That is the most congested area of the metro right now. That drive is at 20 to 25 minutes.
