Traffic is starting to get back to normal on westbound 494 in Newport where a serious injury crash earlier had two lanes blocked for a time. All lanes are open now and traffic has recovered. Look for a minor squeeze near Hardman Avenue.
We are accident free at the moment, but we do have pockets of slow traffic and congestion. Those are on westbound 94 between Johnson Pkwy. and Marion Street and southbound 35E from Hwy. 36 to downtown St. Paul.
Look for speeds below the posted on northbound 35W from the Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis. Eastbound Crosstown is sluggish from Gleason Road over to 35W.
Both directions of 494 in Bloomington from Hwy. 169 to Cedar Avenue has a few hiccups, adding a couple extra minutes to the drive.
