A barn fire at a central Minnesota farm has killed more than 8,000 young turkeys, authorities said.

The blaze broke out shortly before noon Tuesday at Langmo Farms in Manannah Township, according to the Meeker County Sheriff's Office.

No one was injured in the blaze, which investigators suspect was started by a propane heater in the barn.

The barn was a total loss.
