8:30 a.m. update: Stacked up in Richfield on 35W

The crash on southbound 35W still has traffic at a standstill from 66th Street down to 76th Street in Richfield. That also has traffic on the westbound Crosstown tight from Portland Avenue over to Penn Avenue.

The crash on southbound 35W still has traffic at a standstill from 66th Street down to 76th Street in Richfield. That also has traffic on the westbound Crosstown tight from Portland Avenue over to Penn Avenue.

The State Patrol is heading to an incident in which a semitrailer truck sideswipped a motorist on I-694 at Shingle Creek Pkwy. Traffic in the work zone from Hwy. 252 to Central Avenue in both directions is moving slow, with about 8 minutes needed.

Look for congestion on northbound 35E in the work zone from County Road 42 up to Cedar Avenue. More ramp closings are on tap for the weekend.

Elsewhere the drive is looking quite nice with few delays on the system.
