8:30 a.m. update: Current drive times

A big old traffic jam is developing on eastbound I-94 in about 2 miles west of the Hwy. 25 interchange in Monticello. A crash in the left lane and road work are the contributing factors.

In the immediate metro, westbound I-94 is puty between downtown St. Paul and downtown Minneapolis. That trip is averaging 17 minutes.

Congestion has loosened on westbound 494 through Richfield and in the western suburbs while northbound 35W continues to sputter from County Road 42 up to 94th Street.

Southbound 35W from 95th Avenue to downtown Minneapolis: 15 minutes

Southbound 35E from County 96 to I-94: 13 minutes.

Westbound 694 from 35E to Hwy. 252: 11 minutes. Eastbound is 10 minutes.

West metro

Eastbound 94 from Hwy. 101 to 494: 9 minutes

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 9 minutes

Eastbound 394 from 494 to 35W via 94: 9 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 14 minutes

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 21 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 31 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 13 minutes

Northbound 35E from County 42 to downtown St. Paul: 17 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Dell Road to Crosstown: 11 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 16 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 10 minutes
