8:30 a.m. update: Current drive times

The smooth commute continues with traffic moving at or near the posted speeds on most mainline routes.

Our trouble spots are on northbound Hwy. 169 at Hwy. 41. Police are dealing with an overturned vehicle in the right turn lane.

On southbound 35E, traffic slows from Hwy. 36 to downtown St. Paul. That's mainly do to the gawker slow down as motorists peek at the remnants of a semi fire on the northbound side at Pennsylvania Avenue. Two right lanes are blocked with fire rigs. Northbound traffic is at a near standstill from University Avenue.

In Lakeville, the grind continues through the work zone. It's plugged up from 195th Street up to County 46 for northbound drivers. It's 15 minutes through there.

Eastbound Hwy. 10 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 12 minutes

Westbound 694 from 35E to Hwy. 252: 10 minutes. Eastbound is 10 minutes.

West metro

Eastbound 94 from Hwy. 101 to 494: 10 minutes

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 8 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 169 from Hwy. 610 to Crosstown: 18 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 13 minutes

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to downtown Minneapolis: 16 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 10 minutes

Northbound 169 from Canterbury Road to 494: 8 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Dell Road to Crosstown: 11 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 9 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 7 minutes
