8:20 a.m. update: Still bad on I-94 in Minneapolis

Two wrecks on westbound 94, one at the Lowry Hill Tunnel and another at Cedar Avenue, have cleared, but the bottleneck left behind is slow in loosening. Traffic crawls from the Midway all the way into downtown Minneapolis. Plan on 25 minutes from St. Paul to Minneapolis.

It looks to be a serious situation on the ramp from westbound 94 to the 494/694 interchange in Woodbury. Fire rigs and lots of emergency vehicles are on the scene of a three-vehicle mishap. Traffic is getting by on the shoulder.

Things are starting to ease up on northbound 35W now that a wreck at Hwy. 13 has been taken care of.

Elsewhere, we have lots of slow traffic, including westbound Hwy. 36 through Roseville, southbound Hwy. 169 from I-94 down to I-394 and southbound 494 from the Fish Lake Split down to 394.
