8:20 a.m. update: Much improved

If you are still stuck in traffic, you'll disagree with me. But really, things are getting better. Most of the earlier crashes have cleared and that has drive times dropping.

If you are still stuck in traffic, you'll disagree with me. But really, things are getting better. Most of the earlier crashes have cleared and that has drive times dropping.

Our sluggish spots still include eastbound 394 from General Mills Blvd. to Dunwoody and westbound 94 from Cedar Avenue to the Lowry Hill Tunnel. That backup is due to a crash still taking out the left lane in the tunnel.

Northbound 35W from Crosstown to downtown Minneapolis is recovering from two earlier wrecks while westbound 694 is starting to loosen from Silver Lake Road to Hwy. 252.

Look for pockets of congestion on southbound 169 from 63rd Avenue to 36th Avenue and on westbound 94 from Manning Avenue to 35E.
