8:20 a.m. update: Loosening up on 35W in north metro

The congestion is easing on southbound 35W from 95th Avenue down to Hwy. 280. At one time that was a 20-minute trip but things are flowing better now. Plan on 14 minutes now.

The congestion is easing on southbound 35W from 95th Avenue down to Hwy. 280. At one time that was a 20-minute trip but things are flowing better now. Plan on 14 minutes now.

Westbound Hwy. 36 also is looking much better with just 9 minutes needed from Hwy. 61 over to 35W.

A wreck on the ramp from wesbound Hwy. 101 to northbound Hwy. 169 is adding to the misery for driver trying to cross the Bloomington Ferry Bridge. It's still 20 minutes from County Road 18 up to 494.

The crash on westbound 94 at Hwy. 280 has been pushed off to the right shoulder, but things still slow starting at Hamline. It's 20 minutes from downtown St. Paul to the Lowry Hill Tunnel.
