8:20 a.m. update: Lanes blocked on I-94 to 694 with spin outs and crashes

The latest problems involve a number of spinouts on the ramp from northbound 94 to westbound 694. Some lanes are blocked. This area is particularly icy so use extreme caution. There is a report of crews trying to move a guard rail that was struck out of the traffic lanes.

At least this is not a typical Friday rush hour with many people off for the holiday. Still, the greasy roads have led to a number of mishaps on the system.

The latest problems involve a number of spinouts on the ramp from northbound 94 to westbound 694. Some lanes are blocked. This area is particularly icy so use extreme caution. There is a report of crews trying to move a guard rail that was struck out of the traffic lanes.

Other problem spots include:

  • Hwy. 13 at Hwy. 110 in Mendota
    • Eastbound I-94 at Riverside Avenue
