8:20 a.m. update: Cheaters not pospering on 394 HOT lane

If you are looking to save time, today's not the day to use the HOT lane on I-394 unless you have 2 or more people in the vehicle or have a transponder. The State Patrol is checking, and that has vehicle exiting the HOT lane downtown slowing. Use caution.

Eastbound 394 is packed from Hwy. 100 to downtown Minneapolis, so cutting over to the HOT lane might be tempting.
