The 8 a.m. hour is turning out to be brutal on several routes as congestion and a handful of accidents is making for a tough drive.

Among our hot spots:
Westbound 94 is 25 minutes from Manning Avenue to downtown St. Paul.

Southbound 169 is over 30 minutes from 77th Avenue in Brooklyn Park to the Crosstown.

The Crosstown in both directions is 20 to 25 minutes from 28th Avenue to Hwy. 169. Road work on the Mendota Bridge is not helping eastbound traffic.

Eastbound 394 is 15 to 18 minutes from Hwy. 169 over to 94 and the Lowry Hill Tunnel.

Northbound Hwy. 169 is hampered with at crash at Pioneer Trail. Plan on 16 minutes from County Road 18 to 494.

Southbound 35E is a slow go from 694 down to University Avenue. That is 18 minutes. Look for a crash near Hwy. 36.
