8:05 a.m. update: Rain slowing commute in west metro

The advertised storms have arrived in the west metro, and wet roads are causing traffic to slow on highways and freeways.

Here are some current travel times:

Southbound 494 from 94 to 394: 12 minutes.

I-694 in both directions from Zane Avenue to 35W: 18 minutes.

Eastbound 394 from Hwy. 169-94: 13 minutes (Look for a traffic stop in the carpool lane at I-94)

Westbound 94 from 35E to the Lowry Hill Tunnel: 18 minutes.

Northbound 35W from Crosstown to I-94: 18 minutes.

Westbound Hwy. 36 from Hwy. 61 to 35W: 10 minutes.

Southbound 35W from Hwy. 280 to 94: 12 minutes.
