8:05 a.m. update: Current drive times

The crashes just keep coming. The latest are on eastbound I-94 at Ruth Street in St. Paul and westbound 494 at 34th Avenue in Bloomington.

Elsewhere, earlier wrecks have tangled traffic. Some of the worst conditions include the Crosstown in both directions between Hwy. 169 and 35W and on southbound 35W from Lexington Avenue to 694.

None of that holds a candle to the mess in Newport. A semi flipped over just after 6 a.m.and all northbound lanes at 494 are closed. Traffic is being diverted to eastbound 494. Look for a big jam starting at 70th Street

Southbound 35E from County 14 to I-94: 28 minutes.

Westbound 694 from 35E to Hwy. 252: 14 minutes. Eastbound is 14 minutes.

Eastbound 94 from Crow River to 494: 21 minutes

Southbound 494 from 94 down to 394: 11 minutes

Eastbound 394 from 494 to 35W via 94: 12 minutes

Southbound Hwy. 100 from I-94 to Crosstown: 21 minutes

South metro

Northbound 35W from County 42 to Crosstown: 17 minutes To downtown Minneapolis: 25 minutes.

Northbound Cedar Avenue from 35E to the Crosstown: 16 minutes

Northbound 35E from County 42 to downtown St. Paul: 18 minutes

Eastbound Hwy. 212 from Powers Blvd. to Crosstown: 15 minutes

Westbound 494 from Cedar Avenue to Hwy. 100: 17 minutes. Eastbound 494 from Hwy. 169 to 35W: 19 minutes
