76-year-old Minnesotan on speeding ATV crashes after sunset, is killed

The patrol said Pistorius was speeding and not wearing a helmet as the vehicle rolled 1 1/2 times in eastern South Dakota.

A 76-year-old man was killed when he crashed his speeding ATV in eastern South Dakota after sunset about 12 miles north of his Minnesota home, authorities said Monday.

Clarence H. Pistorius, of Browns Valley, rolled the four-wheeler about 8 p.m. Sunday on a rural street 8 miles northeast of Sisseton after the driver's side tires hit the soft dirt of the shoulder, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
