70s Lobbies: the Horror

A KARE-11 staffer posted a shot of the station's lobby, circa 1977. Students of the architecture of the Carter Era will recognize every hideous detail, from the cold empty slate floor, glossy tables, thick handrails, stairways jammed in the corner like a busted ladder. Ugh.

On the other hand, you have to admire the TV: I think it's a Zenith SuperChromacolor, one of those pieces of early 70s tech that would have looked at home in "Sleeper" or "2001."
