7 a.m. update: An unfriendly drive in north metro

Traffic is at a near standstill on westbound Hwy. 610 from University Avenue to Hwy. 252 due to a wreck on the ramp to Hwy. 252. Up ahead, look for a wreck near 85th Avenue.

Thinking of trying southbound 35W. That's no better as a crash at County Road C on the left shoulder has traffic slow from 694 to Hwy. 280. To the north, the usual congestion is in place from Lake Drive to 694. Vehicles are hardly moving.

Central Avenue, even with the stoplights, is moving quite well. It just might work today.

The wreck on eastbound 694 at 5th Avenue has cleared, and things are improving acorss that stretch from 35W to Hwy. 252.
