7:55 a.m. update: Tough going on 35W, Crosstown

Crashes on northbound 35W at Cliff Road and ahead at 38th Street are making the trip into downtown Minneapolis a dash-pounding affair. It's 25 minutes from the Burnsville Split to downtown at the moment. Expect that travel time to rise.

Crashes on northbound 35W at Cliff Road and ahead at 38th Street are making the trip into downtown Minneapolis a dash-pounding affair. It's 25 minutes from the Burnsville Split to downtown at the moment. Expect that travel time to rise.

The wreck on eastbound Crosstown at Penn Avenue has cleared out, but traffic is inching along from Gleason Road. Plan on 20 minutes to reach 35W.

Look for the wreck on the right shoulder of eastbound 694 at County Road 81 in Brooklyn Park. Speeds drop approaching the scene.

In Oakdale, there's word of a wreck on northbound 694 at 10th Street. Look for the activity on the right.

A new crash on eastbound 394 at Hwy. 169 is hampering the drive in the western suburbs. Ahead, things flow fairly well over to Penn Avenue.
