7:55 a.m. update: Officer's funeral brings parking, traffic restrictions

Already a number of squads from departments across the state and metro area are making their way to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 1575 Charlton Street in West St. Paul. Expect road closures in the vicinity of the church today.

It's a sad and somber day as the community pays respects to officer Scott Patrick, the Mendota Heights police officer who was gunned down last week while in the line of duty.

Already a number of squads from departments across the state and metro area are making their way to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 1575 Charlton Street in West St. Paul. Expect road closures in the vicinity of the church today.

The funeral proecession will exit the church and head north on Charlton Street, then west on Butler Avenue. It will go north for a short time on Delaware Avenue before heading south on Dodd Road to Mendota Heights Road where it will head west. The procession will continue on Mendota Heights Road and head north on Lemay Lake Road. The procession will continue north on Hwy. 13 and enter the cemetery from Acacia Boulevard.

Parking is banned today on streets in the area bounded by Emerson Avenue on the north, Delaware Avenue on the west, Wentworth Avenue on the south and Charlton Street on the west.
