7:55 a.m. update: Inching along

Speeds are below the posted on nearly every major route in the Twin Cities metro area.

March 19, 2013 at 10:28AM

Travel on westbound Hwy. 36 is 20 minutes from Hwy. 61 over to 35W.

Things are creeping along on westbound Hwy. 55 from Peony Lane over to Hwy. 169. That is 10 to 12 minutes.

On southbound 252, it's busy from Hwy. 610 down to 694. Ahead, slow traffic is making for a 20 minute drive from Lowry Avenue to 35W.

Eastbound 94 is miserable from Keats Avenue to Hwy. 280. That is nearly 1 hour.

Westbound 94 is 35 minutes from Hwy. 101 to 494.

Crosstown is hardly moving in both directions from 28th Avenue to Hwy. 100.

Hwy 212 eastbound resembles a parking lot from Eden Prairie Road to 494. Ahead on 494, it's congested from East Bush Lake Road over to Hwy. 5.

Roads remain slick and several spinouts are still occurring. Drive slow and keep the headlights on.
